Air Fryer Apple Fries with Caramel Dip are a fun and healthier dessert or snack, featuring sweet apple slices coated in a cinnamon-sugar crust and air fried until crisp. Paired with a creamy caramel dip, they offer a warm, crunchy twist on a classic treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 large apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji), peeled and sliced into fry-shaped wedges
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade, for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with panko, sugar, and cinnamon mixed together.
  2. Dredge each apple slice in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat with the cinnamon-sugar breadcrumb mix.
  3. Place coated apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  4. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
  5. Warm the caramel sauce slightly before serving for easier dipping.
  6. Serve apple fries warm with the caramel dip on the side.

Notes

  • Use firm apples to maintain structure during cooking.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg to the breadcrumb mix for extra flavor.
  • For a lighter version, skip the flour and just dip in egg and breadcrumbs.
  • Leftovers are best reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
