These Air Fryer Banana Donut Holes are a quick and easy treat made with ripe bananas, pantry staples, and minimal oil thanks to air frying. Perfectly soft, sweet, and ideal for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 ripe banana (about 1/2 cup mashed)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional: powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the banana until smooth.
  3. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter to the mashed banana and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  6. Form the dough into small balls (about 1-inch in diameter).
  7. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  8. Place the donut holes in the basket, making sure they are not touching.
  9. Air fry for 7–9 minutes or until golden brown, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  10. Let them cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar, if desired.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for best sweetness and flavor.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed.
  • These are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day.
