Savory and satisfying sliders made with seasoned ground beef, sweet caramelized onions, tangy BBQ sauce, and melted cheese, all baked in soft slider rolls with a buttery glaze. Perfect for parties, game day, or a family-friendly dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 12 slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices cheddar or American cheese, halved
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sesame seeds or chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Season with salt and pepper, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook with the beef for 5–7 minutes, until onions are soft and slightly caramelized.
  4. Stir in BBQ sauce and cook for 2 more minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. Without separating the slider rolls, slice them in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in the baking dish.
  6. Spread the beef and onion mixture evenly over the bottom buns, then top with cheese slices.
  7. Place the top half of the rolls over the fillings.
  8. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. Brush over the tops of the rolls.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  10. Garnish with sesame seeds or parsley if desired. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Can be assembled ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Try adding pickles or jalapeños for an extra kick.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated in the oven or microwave.
