Baked Garlic Herb Shrimp is a quick and flavorful seafood dish featuring tender shrimp tossed in a buttery garlic and herb mixture, then baked to perfection — ideal as an appetizer or a light main course.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with foil.
  2. In a bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add shrimp to the bowl and toss until well coated with the garlic herb mixture.
  4. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overbake shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture.
  • Great served over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
  • Can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
