Beef and Broccoli Noodles is a quick and satisfying stir-fry dish made with tender beef strips, crisp broccoli florets, and noodles tossed in a savory Asian-inspired sauce.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 oz egg noodles or lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, water, cornstarch, sesame oil, and black pepper to make the sauce.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add another tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then add broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add a splash of water and cover for 1 minute to steam, if needed.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet along with the cooked noodles.
  6. Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • Substitute broccoli with other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for variety.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to control salt content.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef in 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp cornstarch for 15 minutes before cooking.
