Broccoli and Goat Cheese is a flavorful vegetarian dish featuring roasted broccoli florets topped with creamy goat cheese, lemon, and herbs. This simple yet elegant recipe works as a side or light main course.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 oz goat cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon zest or 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the broccoli on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Roast for 15–20 minutes, until tender and slightly crisp at the edges.
  5. Remove from oven and top with crumbled goat cheese.
  6. Finish with lemon zest or juice, and garnish with fresh herbs if using.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use fresh, soft goat cheese for best melting and flavor.
  • Roast at high heat to prevent soggy broccoli.
  • Great with toasted nuts or a drizzle of honey for added texture and sweetness.
  • Can be served over quinoa or couscous for a heartier dish.
  • Reheat in a skillet or oven to maintain texture—avoid microwaving.
