Caramel Banana Cream Pie is a luscious and layered dessert that features a buttery crust, rich caramel, fresh bananas, creamy vanilla pudding, and fluffy whipped cream. It’s a crowd-pleasing pie perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (9-inch) graham cracker pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 23 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Crushed graham crackers or toffee bits (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Spread 1/2 cup of caramel sauce evenly on the bottom of the graham cracker crust.
  2. Layer sliced bananas over the caramel sauce.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes). Pour over the banana layer and spread evenly. Chill for 15 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  5. Spread whipped cream over the pudding layer.
  6. Drizzle extra caramel sauce over the top and garnish with crushed graham crackers or toffee bits if desired.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the pie to fully set.

Notes

  • Use bananas that are ripe but still firm to avoid mushiness.
  • Homemade caramel can be used for a richer flavor.
  • Assemble the pie close to serving time to maintain the best texture.
