- 500g ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 cubes cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 175 °C (350 °F).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Form mixture into 12 small balls.
- Press a cube of cheddar cheese into the center of each ball and seal meat around the cheese.
- Place in a baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes, until cooked through and cheese is melted inside.
Notes
- Use mozzarella or pepper jack for a variation in flavor.
- Add diced bell pepper or spinach for extra veggies.
- Top with BBQ sauce or a ketchup glaze before baking for added flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
