These Cheesy Garlic Butter Sliders are irresistibly gooey and packed with flavor—mini burgers with melted cheese, nestled between buttery garlic-seasoned buns, perfect for parties or game day snacks.

Ingredients

  • Slider rolls or small dinner buns
  • Ground beef or mini patties
  • Salt and pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder (optional)
  • Cheese slices (mozzarella, cheddar, or provolone)
  • Butter
  • Fresh garlic, minced
  • Parsley, finely chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected.
  3. In a skillet, season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder (and onion powder if using), then shape into small patties. Cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Arrange bottom halves of buns in a baking dish. Place a cooked patty and cheese slice on each, then top with the upper halves of the buns.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in minced garlic and parsley. Brush generously over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • If you prefer convenience, use precooked mini burgers or meatballs flattened into patties.
  • Cheeses like mozzarella, provolone, Swiss, or cheddar all melt beautifully and complement the garlic flavor.
  • For a lighter version, use ground chicken or turkey instead of beef.
  • To make them vegetarian, use plant-based patties or sautéed mushrooms with cheese as a filling.
  • To prevent soggy bottoms, lightly toast the bottom buns before assembling or place a slice of cheese beneath the patties.
  • You can assemble the sliders up to a day in advance, refrigerate, and bake just before serving.
  • If you only have garlic powder, substitute ½ teaspoon garlic powder for each clove of garlic.
  • To keep sliders warm at a party, store them in a low oven (200–250°F) for up to 30 minutes or serve in a chafing dish.
  • If doubling the recipe, use a larger baking tray and adjust the ingredients proportionally.
  • For the best texture, freeze the sliders before baking, and bake them fresh from frozen.
