This cheesy Philly cheesesteak is loaded with tender beef, sautéed onions and peppers, and gooey melted cheese, all on a toasted hoagie roll!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 hoagie rolls

  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Sauté vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook peppers and onions until soft. Set aside.
  • Cook steak: In the same skillet, cook steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until browned.
  • Assemble sandwiches: Split hoagie rolls, add cooked steak, top with veggies and cheese.
  • Melt cheese: Place sandwiches under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.

  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Freeze steak for 15 minutes before slicing for ultra-thin cuts.
  • Substitute provolone with Cheez Whiz for a more classic Philly taste.
