Cheesy Smash Burger Sliders are mini smashed beef patties with crispy edges, melted cheese, and classic toppings served on soft slider buns.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 slices American cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 12 pickle slices
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 12 equal balls and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Butter and toast the slider buns until golden; set aside.
  4. Place a beef ball on the hot surface, add diced onions on top, and smash flat.
  5. Cook 1–2 minutes until edges crisp, then flip.
  6. Add a slice of cheese and cook until melted.
  7. Assemble sliders with mayo, mustard if desired, patties, and pickles.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Chill the beef slightly for easier smashing.
  • Cover patties briefly after flipping for extra melty cheese.
  • Great for parties and game day.
