2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp Italian seasoning
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
12oz pasta (penne or spaghetti)
1/4cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
2 tbsp chopped fresh basil or parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until golden and cooked through.
Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in marinara sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes until heated through and flavors combine.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
Top with grated Parmesan and garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
You can use store-bought or homemade marinara sauce.
For extra flavor, deglaze the skillet with a splash of white wine before adding the sauce.
