- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped and lightly toasted
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and toasted pecans.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
