Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies enhanced with buttery toasted pecans for a rich, nutty flavor.

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped and lightly toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and toasted pecans.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Toast pecans for 5–7 minutes at 350°F to enhance flavor.
  • Chill the dough for 20–30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  • Use dark chocolate chips for a richer taste.
  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking for a gourmet finish.
