  • 3/4 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 oz dark chocolate (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup crushed biscuit or cookie crumbs (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Warm the milk slightly and add it to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix in the eggs and knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. Gradually incorporate the butter while kneading.

  6. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into buns.
  7. Place the buns on a parchment-lined baking tray and let them rise for 30–45 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake buns for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.

  10. Dip each cooled bun into the chocolate glaze.
  11. Sprinkle with crushed biscuits and allow the glaze to set before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the dough is kneaded until smooth and elastic for best texture.
  • Use fresh yeast for optimal rising.
  • Cool buns completely before glazing to prevent dripping.
  • Store unglazed buns in freezer for longer shelf life.
