Chocolate Orange Cheesecake is a creamy, citrus-infused dessert that blends the bright flavor of orange with rich chocolate in a smooth cheesecake base. Perfect for festive occasions or elegant entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or heavy cream
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line the bottom of a springform pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press into the pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in orange zest, orange juice, sour cream (or heavy cream), vanilla extract, and salt.
  6. Fold in melted chocolate until fully combined.
  7. Pour the filling over the crust and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 55–65 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  9. Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let cool for 1 hour.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

  • Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor profile.
  • Garnish with chocolate shavings or candied orange peel.
  • Add 1 tbsp of orange liqueur for added depth.
  • To make individual servings, use a muffin tin with liners.
