A rich and silky chocolate ganache made with just two ingredients, perfect for glazing cakes, dipping fruit, or whipping into a decadent frosting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until just beginning to simmer — do not boil.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 2–3 minutes without stirring.
  4. Whisk the mixture gently from the center outward until smooth and glossy.
  5. Let cool slightly before using as a glaze, or allow to cool completely and refrigerate if whipping or thickening is desired.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
  • Ratio can be adjusted: 1:1 for glaze, 2:1 for firm truffles, 1:2 for pourable sauce.
  • Add a tablespoon of butter for extra shine or a splash of liqueur for flavor variation.
