Ingredients
Scale
1 lb ground beef
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cans (15 oz each) pork and beans
1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the ground beef and onion. Cook until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
In a large mixing bowl, combine pork and beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cooked bacon, and beef mixture. Stir well to combine.
Transfer the mixture to a large baking dish.
Bake uncovered for 45–60 minutes, or until bubbly and slightly thickened.
Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
This dish can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
Use turkey bacon and lean ground turkey for a lighter version.
