Ingredients
Scale
12 ounces bow tie (farfalle) pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Cook bow tie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Add garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Gradually add milk and beef broth, stirring until the mixture thickens into a creamy sauce, about 5 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella until melted and smooth.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce.
Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Use half-and-half or heavy cream for an even richer sauce.
Ground turkey or chicken can be used in place of beef for a lighter version.
For extra flavor, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
