Ingredients
Scale
12 ounces bow tie (farfalle) pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Cook bow tie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Add garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove raw flour taste.
Gradually pour in milk and beef broth, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Use heavy cream instead of milk for an extra rich sauce.
Ground turkey or chicken can be used as a substitute for beef.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
