A rich and comforting Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta Bake made with tender chicken, pasta, and a luscious Alfredo sauce, baked to golden perfection with melted cheese on top.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  7. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Mix well.
  8. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.

  • You can substitute penne with other pasta like fusilli or rigatoni.
