Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 beef loin chops or ribeye chops
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or stock
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or thyme, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season beef chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the beef chops for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard (if using), then simmer for 4–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return the chops to the pan and spoon the sauce over them. Simmer for 2–3 minutes more to heat through.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley or thyme before serving.

Notes

  • Add mushrooms for an earthy flavor twist.
  • Use pork chops instead of beef for a budget-friendly version.
  • Stir in spinach or kale for added greens.
  • Make it spicy with red pepper flakes or cayenne.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
