Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Stir in Parmesan until melted and the sauce thickens.
Add lemon juice and parsley, then return shrimp to the skillet.
Toss shrimp in the creamy sauce and cook for 1 more minute.
Serve warm over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
Notes
Do not overcook the shrimp; they become rubbery quickly.
Add red pepper flakes for heat.
Swap heavy cream for half-and-half for a lighter version.
