Treat yourself to a juicy pan-seared steak smothered in a rich garlic mushroom cream sauce, served with golden crispy fries. This steakhouse-quality meal is made in one pan and perfect for date nights or special dinners!

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup beef broth

  • 1/4 tsp thyme or rosemary (optional)

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 mins per side (for medium), then remove and let rest.

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat and melt butter. Add mushrooms and sauté until browned.

  • Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  • Add cream, beef broth, and thyme. Simmer until sauce thickens, 3–5 minutes.

  • Return steak to pan, spoon sauce over, and cook for 1–2 more mins.

  • Garnish with parsley and serve with fries.

Notes

  • Use heavy cream for the richest sauce.

  • For extra flavor, deglaze the pan with a splash of wine.

  • Swap steak cut to your liking!
