Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or mixed herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, basil, thyme, and oregano. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes to heat through.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh herbs if available for enhanced flavor.
  • Pound chicken breasts to even thickness for more uniform cooking.
  • Can be served over pasta, mashed potatoes, or rice.
