Creamy Mango Lassi is a refreshing Indian yogurt-based drink made with ripe mangoes, creamy yogurt, milk, and a touch of cardamom—perfect for cooling down on a warm day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ripe mango chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 23 tablespoons sugar or honey (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Optional garnish: chopped pistachios or a pinch of cardamom

Instructions

  1. Combine mango chunks, yogurt, milk, sugar or honey, and ground cardamom in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add ice cubes if desired and blend again.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. Pour into glasses and garnish with pistachios or a sprinkle of cardamom if desired.
  5. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use Alphonso mangoes for the richest flavor if available.
  • Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • Substitute milk with a plant-based alternative for a vegan version using dairy-free yogurt.
