2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1cup all-purpose flour
1/2cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking powder
1cup vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Sandwich
4 brioche buns
4 slices cheddar or American cheese
1/2cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
1/2cup lettuce
1/2cup diced pickles
For the Fries
2 large potatoes, cut into fries
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, mix buttermilk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add chicken and marinate for 1 hour.
Prepare Breading: In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
Coat & Fry: Dredge chicken in flour mixture, pressing to coat. Heat oil and fry for 4-5 minutes per side until crispy and golden. Drain on paper towels.
Bake Fries: Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25 minutes until crispy.
