Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, these Decorated Churros come with dazzling toppings like colorful cereal, whipped icing, and powdered sugar — a festive treat for all ages!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 1/2 tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • Oil for frying

  • Cinnamon sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and oil. Bring to a boil.

  • Stir in flour until dough forms. Cool slightly.

  • Fill piping bag with dough and pipe U-shaped churros.

  • Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain and coat in cinnamon sugar.

 

  • Decorate as desired with icing, cereals, or drizzle.

Notes

  • Best served warm for that crispy-soft texture.
