Fried Sliced Mushrooms with Ranch are a crispy, golden-brown snack or appetizer that delivers a satisfying crunch and earthy flavor in every bite. Coated in a seasoned breading and fried to perfection, these mushrooms are irresistibly dippable and pair beautifully with creamy ranch dressing.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh white or cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Ranch dressing, for dipping
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms evenly. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In three shallow bowls: place seasoned flour (with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper), beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs respectively.
  3. Dredge each mushroom slice in the flour, then dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry mushrooms in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with ranch dressing and garnish with parsley if desired.
