1lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp butter, divided
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil and 1.5 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Stir in remaining butter and lemon juice, tossing to coat shrimp evenly.
Remove skillet from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
Use fresh or thawed frozen shrimp, but ensure they are patted dry.
Adjust spice level with red pepper flakes or cayenne.
Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
Avoid overcooking shrimp—they should be just pink and curled.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat gently.
