These Glazed Lemon Cookies are soft, buttery, and bursting with fresh lemon flavor! Topped with a sweet and tangy glaze, they’re perfect for any citrus lover.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon

 

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Make cookie dough: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, lemon juice, zest, and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients.
  • Bake: Scoop dough onto baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes.
  • Make glaze: Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.

 

  • Glaze cookies: Once cooled, dip or drizzle cookies with glaze. Let set before serving.

Notes

  • For extra lemon flavor, add more zest.

 

  • Store in an airtight container to keep cookies soft.
