6 fresh scallops
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2cup heavy cream
1/4cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4cup mozzarella cheese
1 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add scallops and sear for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
In a baking dish, place the scallops, drizzle with cream, and sprinkle with cheeses, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Drizzle with lemon juice and serve hot.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil for 2 minutes after baking.
