Grilled Filet Medallions are tender cuts of beef, perfectly seasoned and grilled to juicy perfection. Ideal for special occasions or elegant dinners at home, they offer a luxurious yet simple gourmet experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 beef filet medallions (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for basting)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce or balsamic glaze (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Drizzle the filet medallions with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and garlic.
  3. Place medallions on the grill and cook for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time for preferred doneness.
  4. Optional: In the final minute, baste with melted butter and sprinkle with fresh thyme or rosemary.
  5. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.
  6. Serve with mashed potatoes or vegetables and optionally drizzle with Worcestershire sauce or balsamic glaze.

Notes

  • Top with garlic herb butter for added flavor.
  • Serve with a red wine reduction sauce for a steakhouse-style meal.
  • Press cracked peppercorns into the medallions for a peppery crust.
  • Use sous vide for precise doneness before grilling.
  • Avoid freezing cooked medallions to preserve tenderness.
