Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 45 leeks, trimmed and cut into sections
  • 68 strips of bacon
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak: Brush steaks with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Let them sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  • Wrap the Leeks: Wrap each leek section with a slice of bacon and secure with toothpicks.
  • Grill the Steak: Preheat a grill or pan to high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Let them rest for 5 minutes.
  • Grill the Leeks: Grill the bacon-wrapped leeks until the bacon is crispy and leeks are tender (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Serve: Slice the steak and enjoy with the smoky leeks!

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to check steak doneness (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
  • Add a knob of butter while resting for extra richness.
