1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
6 slices deli ham
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the pastry, if using.
Layer ham slices evenly over the pastry, followed by shredded cheese.
Starting from one edge, tightly roll the puff pastry into a log.
Slice the roll into about 12 even pieces.
Place pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with dried herbs if desired.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use Swiss, mozzarella, or pepper jack cheese for variations in flavor.
