1lb beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into bite-sized cubes
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional)
2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice (optional)
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 tablespoons green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar or lime juice. Set aside.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add beef cubes; sear on all sides until browned and nearly cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium. Pour in the honey-soy mixture; stir to coat.
Simmer 2-3 minutes until glaze thickens and coats the beef.
Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Serve hot over rice or with sides of choice.
Notes
Adjust honey and soy sauce ratios to taste for sweetness or saltiness.
Serve on skewers for easy appetizers.
Leftovers keep in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat gently to maintain glaze texture.
