Tender, juicy chicken thighs seasoned with a flavorful spice blend and cooked to perfection in the air fryer—crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside.

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Rub the chicken thighs with olive oil, then sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides.
  5. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 12 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 10–12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Use boneless, skinless thighs for a leaner option—reduce cook time by 3–4 minutes.
  • Adjust spices to taste—add cayenne for heat or lemon zest for brightness.
