Layered Maple Cream Waffles are a rich and indulgent breakfast or brunch dish featuring crispy waffles stacked with fluffy, maple-infused cream filling and topped with fresh fruit or nuts for a delightful finish.

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients and stir until just mixed. Do not overmix.
  5. Cook waffles in the preheated waffle iron until golden brown and crisp. Set aside and keep warm.
  6. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add maple syrup and powdered sugar, and mix until combined.
  7. Whip heavy cream to soft peaks and fold into the maple cream cheese mixture until smooth.
  8. Layer waffles with generous amounts of maple cream between each. Stack 2–3 waffles per serving.
  9. Drizzle with extra maple syrup and top with fruit or nuts if desired. Serve immediately.
