Soft, strawberry-flavored cookie blossoms rolled in sugar and topped with a classic Hershey’s Kiss for a sweet, colorful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3 oz box strawberry gelatin mix
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Pink or red sanding sugar (for rolling)
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and strawberry gelatin mix until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture to form a soft dough.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat each ball in sanding sugar.
  7. Place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until the cookies are set but still soft.
  9. Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
  10. Allow cookies to cool completely so the chocolate can firm up.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 15 minutes if too soft to roll.
  • Use heart-shaped Hershey’s Kisses for Valentine’s Day flair.
  • Allow cookies to cool fully before storing to avoid melting the Kisses.
