Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3 large eggs
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease well.
In a bowl, mix 1 cup softened butter, flour, powdered sugar, and salt until a crumbly dough forms.
Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan to form the crust. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until lightly golden.
Meanwhile, in another bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Stir in chopped pecans.
Pour the pecan mixture over the pre-baked crust and spread evenly.
Bake for another 25–30 minutes, or until the filling is set and lightly browned.
Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
Notes
Use dark corn syrup for a deeper flavor.
Bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
