- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Shape into patties.
- Cook patties in a pan until browned on both sides. Remove from the pan.
- Sauté onions in butter, then stir in flour.
- Add beef broth, whisking until thickened. Return patties to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
- Add mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Use turkey instead of beef for a leaner version.
