A creamy, flavorful pasta dish featuring savory sausage, roasted cherry tomatoes, and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  • Cook rigatoni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • Toss cherry tomatoes with olive oil and roast at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes.
  • In a pan, cook sausage until browned. Add garlic and red pepper flakes.
  • Stir in cream and Parmesan, simmering until thick.
  • Add pasta and roasted tomatoes; toss well. Garnish with basil.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken sausage for a lighter version.
  • Add spinach for extra greens.
