These soft and chewy M&M chocolate chip cookies are loaded with colorful candies and gooey chocolate chips, making them a fun and delicious treat for all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and M&M candies.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and centers are still soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Press a few extra M&Ms on top of each cookie dough ball before baking for a more colorful appearance.
  • Do not overbake to keep the cookies soft and chewy.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
