400g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
2 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili garlic sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar to make the stir-fry sauce. Set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add bell pepper and onion. Cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
Return the beef to the pan, pour in the sauce, and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
Add green onions and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir for another minute.
Serve hot over steamed rice.
Notes
Use thinly sliced beef for quick cooking and tenderness.
Adjust the amount of chili garlic sauce and red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
Can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for variation.
