Strawberry Banana Cream Pie is a luscious dessert that combines a flaky or graham cracker crust with layers of fresh bananas and strawberries, creamy vanilla pudding or custard, and whipped cream. It’s a fruity, creamy treat perfect for summer gatherings or any sweet occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (9-inch) pie crust (baked or graham cracker)
  • 23 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: extra strawberries and bananas for topping

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk. Let sit for 5 minutes until thickened.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. Fold half of the whipped cream into the prepared pudding to create a light cream filling.
  4. Layer the sliced bananas on the bottom of the prepared pie crust.
  5. Top with a layer of sliced strawberries.
  6. Pour the cream filling over the fruit and spread evenly.
  7. Top with the remaining whipped cream and smooth the top.
  8. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  9. Garnish with extra strawberries and banana slices before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh, firm bananas and strawberries for best texture and flavor.
  • You can use homemade custard instead of instant pudding if preferred.
  • Pie can be made a day in advance; add toppings just before serving.
  • For extra flavor, drizzle with chocolate or strawberry syrup before serving.
