8oz noodles (lo mein, spaghetti, or rice noodles)
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp olive oil or neutral cooking oil
2 green onions, chopped (optional, for garnish)
1/4 tsp chili flakes or a dash of sriracha (optional)
Instructions
Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar (or honey), and sesame oil.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the cooked noodles to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce mixture and toss well to coat.
Cook for 1–2 minutes more until noodles are evenly glazed and heated through.
Garnish with green onions and chili flakes or sriracha if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use low-sodium soy sauce to control saltiness.
Customize by adding protein like chicken or tofu, or veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms.
Toss noodles with oil after boiling to prevent sticking.
