Ingredients
Scale
2 English muffins
2 breakfast sausage patties
2 eggs
2 slices cheddar cheese
Butter (for toasting)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Slice the English muffins in half and lightly butter each side.
Toast the muffins on a skillet or griddle until golden brown. Set aside.
In the same skillet, cook the sausage patties until browned and fully cooked, about 4–5 minutes per side.
Fry the eggs to your preferred doneness (sunny-side up is ideal for a runny yolk). Season with salt and pepper.
Place a slice of cheddar on the bottom half of each toasted muffin. Top with the cooked sausage patty, the fried egg, and finally the muffin top.
Press down gently and serve warm.
Notes
Use plant-based patties for a vegetarian option.
Add hot sauce or jalapeños for a spicy variation.
Experiment with different cheeses like Swiss, gouda, or pepper jack.
Add avocado, spinach, or tomatoes for extra flavor and nutrition.
Wrap and store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
