Creamy Garlic Chicken Thighs are a rich and flavorful dish featuring tender, pan-seared chicken thighs smothered in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce—perfect for a cozy, satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
  5. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened, about 3–4 minutes.
  6. Return chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon sauce over them. Simmer for 5 more minutes to heat through and meld flavors.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.

Notes

  • Use boneless, skinless thighs if preferred; reduce cook time accordingly.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor and texture.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half or milk for cream.
