This English Toffee is a crunchy, buttery treat coated in chocolate and sprinkled with chopped nuts, perfect for holidays or gifting!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

 

  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds or pecans

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir in sugar and salt; cook until golden brown (300°F on a candy thermometer).
  • Stir in vanilla and immediately pour onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot toffee, let melt, and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts over chocolate.

 

  • Let cool completely, then break into pieces.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

 

  • Use dark chocolate for a richer taste.
