1lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank), cut into small chunks
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
6 slices cheddar cheese or 1 cup shredded cheddar
6 mini slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
1 tbsp Dijon or spicy mustard (optional)
1cup baby spinach or arugula (optional)
Caramelized onions or pickles (optional garnish)
Instructions
Season steak cubes with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steak in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until medium-rare or desired doneness. Let rest.
Toast slider buns with butter in a skillet or under the broiler, if desired.
Spread mayonnaise or mustard on the bottom buns, if using.
Layer baby spinach or arugula, steak cubes, and top with cheddar cheese.
Place top buns and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
